Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
What are Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)?
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) have been introduced
to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings. From October
2008 EPC's will be required whenever a building is built,
sold or rented out. The certificates provides A -G ratings
for the building, with A being the most efficient and G being
the least efficient, currently the average is an E rating
in England and Wales. The report also gives recommendations
on how to improve the dwellings energy efficiency and how
this can help save money and the environment.
